Title:  Broken Promises

Verses:  Ecclesiates 5:4-5

There are many broken promises to God. The come from many places. The United States
has many broken promises to God in it's past. The US took prayer out of schools  and ball
games. Whatever happened to "one nation, under God"? Parents let the television raise 
their kids. Husband and wives vow to "love, honour, & obey until death, do us part". Yet, 
many get divorces, cheat on their spouses, or otherwise abuse them. Pastors, teachers, 
and preachers who prayed in desperation years ago..."if you save my soul, I will serve you
until the day that I die" Christians who have prayed, "if you just get me out of this one, I promise
that I will stop lying and cheating". But, when things improve we just quit.

God is searching for someone who will do what they have that they will do. When God has
a convenant with His people, He is NEVER slack. It is only us, we fall short. Instead of teaching
others how to pray, we teach hate. Instead of teaching love, we teach how to hurt each other.

He said that He would send His son. He said "I'll go" and HE DID. God kept His promises. Thank
God that He is not like us. What He says that He will do, He does.

Be true to your promises. Take out lying, backbiting, judging, etc. Keep your promises towards
God. 

1. Have Integrity. Do right, even when you don't want to.
2. Be Determined. No matter what comes, be determined.
3. Be Faithful. Keep your promises towards God.
