What is A Prayer?
A prayer si a means of communication and contact with our Heavenly Father. It is also a channel through which and by which His power can be released to meet our needs.

Praise [Psalms 100:4]
Confession [1 John 1:9]
Forgiveness [Matthew 6:14-15]
Petition [Philippians 4:6]
Consecration [Matthew 26:39]
Intercession [James 5:16]
Faith [Hebrews 11:6]
Consistence [Psalms 55:17]
Agreement [Matthew 18:19
Prayer Principles as outlined in The Lord's Prayer
Matthew 6:9-13
Verse 9 - Come into the presence of God [Get God's attention]
Verse 10 - Consecration. Additional: 1 John 5:14-15. God's word is His will.
Verse 11 - Petition [Our Request]. Additional: Matthew 7:7, Matthew 11:22-24. Have Faith.
Verse 12 - Ask for forgiveness.
Verse 13 - Praise and Thanksgiving.
What has become known as the Lord's Prayer is the model which Jesus instructed the disciples to use in praying. It was modeled before the death, burial, and resurrection.
All prayer should close with a form of ''in Jesus' name'' [John 16:23-24].
